The Employment Program focuses on helping individuals with barriers to employment gain. Whether it is assisting with learning, physical, or emotional challenges, Abilities Unlimited provides professional job readiness training, job placement, and job maintenance advice. Employment Counselors work with participants on various areas—job hunting, interview preparation, resume building, self-management, interactions with co-workers/supervisors, budgeting, and job maintenance.

All participants in this program are referred to Abilities Unlimited by the State Department of Human Services Vocational Rehabilitation and Services for the Blind Division. The Program serves the Department of Human Services Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) consumers under three DVR contracts: Supported Employment Services (SES), Training, & Placement Services (ET&P), and the Employment Network for Social Security Ticket to Work Program and Evaluation.
